Spring Break at North Padre Island, Texas with Grampa and NaNa. . thanks for a wonderful trip!!
USS Lexington, a retired US Navy Aircraft Carrier from WWII that is in Corpus Christi

Zachary and Chloe learning how to navigate the guns

Zachary in the captain's chair

There were lots and lots of stairs with narrow passages. . pretty exciting when you are a pre-schooler. That must explain why the word "FREE" was written next to the handicap symbol.

Grampa was not too pleased with the car the rental company provided. He kept telling the kids, "Grampa's Car is a piece of junk". This was repeated every day during the vacation. . and every time the kids see a blue PT Cruiser they make the same comment. Hopefully, the owner of PT Cruiser never hears their commentary.

Dining at La Tuna for lunch in San Antonio. . Zachary and Chloe were given their very own table by the staff.

However, Chloe chose to join the adults. . so Grampa ditched us for Zachary's table. I guess they wanted to talk about cars.

The King Ranch in Kingsville, Texas. Mommy had not visited the ranch for over 20 years--it looked exactly the same!

Below are two "Mexican Eagles"

Our "not-so" wildlife. . they had a tough day at the ranch.

Visiting the Guenther House in San Antonio. . they make the best pancakes.

Dolphin Connection Dolphin Tour--we only saw a few, but it was well worth the price!

Grampa and NaNa with the skipper and his assistant--we learned so much about dolphins in the wild.

The whole family enjoying the ride
Dancing with NaNa on the boat. . . .

Corona + Salt = Foam

When buying beer for an adult evening the store had no limes. They suggested this lime flavored salt. . .
As you can see. .no beer was wasted!

Beach time on Padre Island National Seashore Malaquite Beach

Zaki in his sand bed that Daddy built. . doesn't it look real comfortable?
